After 9 years of living in an RV full time, these are the top 6 floorplan must-haves that I am building into my dream RV, the Ultimate Fuzion. They're things you might want to consider if you're shopping for an RV or renovating one for yourself. The number one item on my list is something you’re going to want in your RV even if you only camp occasionally. 6. A residential mini split air conditioner. These are more quiet and more efficient than RV roof-mounted AC units. 5. Bathtub - When I outfitted The Ultimate Montana fifth wheel with a bathtub, I got a lot of side eye from people, but guess what! I can’t live without it now. 4. Dedicated work space away from the living area. I run a business and having this office space is necessary to focus and get work done. 3. Dishwasher - if your rig has the layout to allow you to retrofit a dishwasher with plumbing near by- go for it! 2. Dedicated space for dog beds and laundry hampers. We are seeing new RVs being factory produced with spaces for dogs, and for good reason! Having this dedicated place for your dog saves a lot of space and gives them somewhere to feel safe. 1. The rig is fully accessible with slides in! This is the one that I recommend to everyone who travels with their RVs, even the weekend campers! You want to be able to get to your bathroom and kitchen without having to put any slides out. Especially for those cross-country trips. These design choices are practical, especially if you spend a lot of time on the road in your RV. And fulltimers, you guys are definitely going to want to consider these things if you’re about to move into a new rig or renovate yours. What are some of your must-haves?
