If you’re an ambitious creator that would love to collaborate with brands, TikTok Creator Marketplace may be the right landing place for you. Here we will discuss how TikTok Creator Marketplace works and how you can take advantage of it.
What is TikTok Creator Marketplace?
TikTok Creator Marketplace is the official collaboration platform to connect brands and creators on TikTok. With TikTok Creator Marketplace, creators can collaborate with brands on both paid and reward based campaigns.
What are the benefits of joining?
When you participate in TikTok Creator Marketplace, you may have the opportunity to connect with brands and sponsorship opportunities. Other benefits include getting official support from TikTok on brand campaigns, receiving access to online collaboration tools, and getting tips on creating advertiser-friendly videos for brands.
Furthermore, the TikTok Creator Marketplace also includes the Marketplace Academy for Creators, where you’ll hear directly from creators and experts successfully using the hub already. Start with our Intro to Level Up videos and learn how to use our features, from accepting campaign invites to getting paid on the platform. The Marketplace Academy for Creators is available for United States creators and United Kingdom creators.
Who is eligible?
Once a creator meets the eligibility requirements (based on factors like age, followers, video content, and engagement), they may be invited to join or apply. You must also be on a Personal (or Creator) account; Business accounts are not eligible at this time. TikTok Creator Marketplace is currently available in 24 countries.
When a creator chooses to apply, their application will be reviewed and notifications will be sent with the results. Creators that do not pass the initial review can reapply after 30 days.
How does the Creator Marketplace work?
After joining TikTok Creator Marketplace, go to your settings, select “Creator Account,” then tap “TikTok Creator Marketplace” to manage your creator profile. Best practices include editing your profile page and setting a rate for sponsored videos.
When brands send you an invitation to collaborate, you will be notified with a notification, email, and SMS. TikTok Creator Marketplace notifications can be found under “Creator Monetization,” and all notifications will always be at the top of your inbox.
Working with brands
TikTok Creator Marketplace allows brands to search for creators just like you. Brands will have the ability to see your profile, audience demographics, engagement metrics, and more.
Best practices suggest aligning with the brand on the video details, including the shooting location, wardrobe, number of reshoots, payment details, and more.
Remember to disclose your Branded content video using the Branded content toggle and link your video to your TikTok Creator Marketplace campaign. This will help brands access real-time data about the campaign including reach and impact.
Once you upload your video, it will be reviewed to ensure it meets TikTok’s Community Guidelines and branded content policy. You’ll receive a notification in your TikTok app if it is approved or denied in which you can reshoot and re-upload the video. After this step, your brand partner will also be able to approve or deny your video before you are able to publish it.
