Finding content, communities, and creators

TikTok is all about finding your own communities by engaging with and making the videos you love. Here are a few best practices on how to find content, communities, and creators.
For You
When you open TikTok, you land in the For You feed. This stream of videos is curated to your interests, making it easy to find videos and creators you love.
The For You feed is not a general one or universal to all users. Everyone has their own, personalized feed, just for them. As you engage with the videos and creators you enjoy, you’ll start to see more videos that fit your interests and uncover communities that befit you.
With the For You feed, you’ll be able to see some trends as they happen, follow creators you enjoy, and find a place in the TikTok community.
Discover
If you tap the magnifying glass at the bottom of the screen, you’ll arrive at the Discover page. The Discover page highlights the breadth of trending videos within the app. Here, you can find some of the latest trends popular on TikTok.
The first set of videos that appear under a hashtag are “example” videos. These may be the videos that started the trend or other popular videos that are relevant to the trending hashtag.
You can also use the search bar at the top of the Discover page to look for specific creators, videos, sounds, or hashtags. When performing a search, the “top” tab will surface the top results from each one of those four categories.
Finding creators and community
Now that you know how to discover videos on TikTok, feel free to give it a try! You can search for different types of videos, watch LIVE streams from creators, and check out some of the current trends. Finding your community is at your fingertips.
