Have you been to Rocky Mountain National Park 🌄 Snow melting, wildflowers blooming, Rocky Mountain National Park in summer is mesmerizing. With elevations ranging from below 8,000’ to above 14,000’, choosing wisely where and when to go for the best views and hikes is essential. Here are my favorites from spending several days in the park last July: 📌SAVE this: 🚐Drive Trail Ridge Road (TRR), rising over 12,000’ through the heart of the park for the best alpine views 🥾🌼Hike Tundra Communities Trail along Trail Ridge Road, 1.2 miles round-trip (easy) for wildflowers & SUNSET (10/10 recommend sunset along Trail Ridge Road!) 🥾Hike Emerald Lake via Nymph Lake & Dream Lake, 3.6 miles round-trip (moderate), within the Bear Lake Corridor (permit required for entry between 5AM-6PM) 🏕️Camp at Aspenglen or Glacier Basin in the park’s east or Timber Creek in the west. Moraine Park (east) is closed for a rehabilitation project until 2024. Reservations available on recreation.gov (camping reservation counts as your timed entry reservation! See below) Bear in mind: ⚠️Timed entry reservation required from May-Oct to enter park entrances between 9AM - 2PM. Special Park Access+ reservation is required to access the Bear Lake Corridor between 5AM-6PM.
