To break free from this you must acknowledge that your mother has this jaded belief that she’s not to held accountable for her shitty behavior. But you are not stuck, she can be the victim in her story but you don’t have to continue to be a part of her story. You can come terms with who your mother is. You take hold your mother accountable by setting limits and enforcing them showing your mother that you will not continue to let her mistreat you because she’s “mom”.
