HOMEMADE BAGELS 🥯 I love making a batch of bagels every other week and popping them in the freezer to have the best bagels on the hand whenever I want! 😋 RECIPE (8 bagels, 2h prep time): -1 1/4 cup (310ml) lukewarm water -2 Tsp instant yeast -1 Tbsp sugar -3 1/2 cups (440g) flour -a pinch of salt Mix and knead until it forms a soft dough.Let it rest for 1h, then divide in 8 pieces. Push the finger through the middle to make the classic bagel shape. Cook in water for 1min each side. Brush with vegan cream and optional add some sesame seeds. Bake at 200C/400F for 20-25mins. Eat or freeze in a ziplock bag. - SELBSTGEMACHTE BAGELS o Ich liebe es, alle zwei Wochen eine Ladung Bagels zu machen und sie einzufrieren, um immer die besten Bagels zur Hand zu haben! 😋 REZEPT (8 Bagels, 2h Zubereitungszeit): -1 1/4 Tasse (310 ml) lauwarmes Wasser -2 TL Trockenhefe -1 EL Zucker -3 1/2 Tassen (440 g) Mehl -eine Prise Salz Mischen und kneten, bis ein weicher Teig entsteht. 1 Stunde ruhen lassen und dann in 8 Stücke teilen. Pour 100ml white wine vinegar and 1 tsp sugar into a small bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds and drop sliced radishes into the mix and allow to sit. Cut the bagel in 1/2 and toast, then using a spoon or your fingers carefully scoop out the filling. Add around 1 tbsp cottage cheese on both sides to fill the scoop. I wanted to make bagels for her but I’ve never made one before so this was definitely a challenge 😤 but through each step I was able to learn something new like what’s wrong with the ratio, flour, or even the kneading there was a lot of fun in this process ❤️ her smile in the end tho 💛 . Recipe (makes 5 bagels) 1. Bread flour 250g ( protein 11.5-13g ) 2. Water 140g 3. Instant dry yeast 3g 4. Sugar 8g 5. Salt 3g . Combine all the ingredients together and knead for around 10 minutes. Let it rest for 30 mins and separate into five dough shapes. Shape the dough into a bagel shape and let it rise for another 30 mins. Boil in water + 1 tbsp of sugar for 30 secs on each side and bake at 200c for 18 mins 🙌🏻 take it out and enjoy ❤️ .
