Lets season the meat for thanksgiving! Season it tonight so it marinates well for maximum flavor. Here’s everything you need! ⭐️1 whole chicken/turkey ⭐️1/4 cup of green seasoning ⭐️1 tablespoon salt ⭐️1 teaspoon black pepper ⭐️1 tablespoon @Second City Prime spice rub (optional) ⭐️1 tablespoon paprika ⭐️1 tablespoon @McCormick Spices Grill Mates Roasted Garlic & Herb Seasoning (optional) ⭐️6 garlic cloves, minced (plus a few whole cloves for the cavity) ⭐️1 lemon, sliced (plus extra for cleaning) ⭐️1 lime, sliced (for cleaning) ⭐️3 green onions, cut into large pieces ⭐️Fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, or sage) Green Seasoning Recipe: ⭐️1 bunch of fresh thyme ⭐️1 bunch of fresh scallions (green onions), chopped ⭐️1 medium onion, chopped ⭐️1 Scotch bonnet pepper (adjust to taste), seeds removed for less heat ⭐️6 cloves of garlic ⭐️1 tablespoon fresh ginger, chopped ⭐️1/4 cup fresh cilantro (coriander) leaves and stems ⭐️1/4 cup fresh parsley leaves and stems ⭐️1 teaspoon ground allspice ⭐️1 teaspoon ground black pepper ⭐️1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste) ⭐️Juice of 2 limes or lemons ⭐️2 tablespoons olive oil ➡️Rinse all the fresh herbs thoroughly and pat them dry with paper towels. ➡️Remove the thyme leaves from the stems. ➡️In a food processor or blender, combine the thyme leaves, chopped scallions, chopped onion, Scotch bonnet pepper, garlic, ginger, cilantro, parsley, ground allspice, black pepper, salt, lime or lemon juice, and olive oil. ➡️Blend everything together until you achieve a smooth paste. You may need to scrape down the sides of the blender or food processor a few times to ensure everything is well combined. ➡️Taste the seasoning and adjust the salt and pepper if needed. ➡️Transfer the green seasoning to a clean glass jar or container with a tight-fitting lid. ➡️Store it in the refrigerator for up to 1-2 weeks.
