When you’re dealing with fat from an animal, it can vary a lot…like a whole lot. This is probably the worst bunch of sediment I’ve ever had in a batch of tallow, but I know some of y’all that are just learning to render your own tallow may mistake this for good beef gelatin. It’s definitely not. There’s lots of good gelatin in there, but it’s mixed with all kinds of funkiness, so it went straight to the chickens who gobbled it up.
