@megmitchell123 Guide to Tegallalang Rice Fields in Bali 🇮🇩 These rice fields are part of UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites and are one of the most gorgeous rice terraces I have ever seen around the world. It is an iconic spot if you are visiting Bali. Just make note that the rice terraces are not always green. The best time to go is between Sept/Oct and March/May. Photography Arriving at sunrise is absolutely the best time to go, as you will catch the morning rays and beat the tourist crowds. The lighting here is phenomenal. If you can’t get up quite that early than definitely try to be there before 10am before the tourist vehicles arrive or go later in the day near sunset. Cost If you arrive early in the morning or late in the evening, it’s unlikely anyone will be around to collect your entrance fee. The fee is collected by the farmers who own the land and they usually charge around 10,000-50,000. If you choose an entrance near a “Bali Swing” than the entrance is at the higher end of the scale. How to get there The terraces are located in the village of Tegalalang on the island of Bali, about 10 kms outside of Ubud. Once you get there park near the little cafes on the road and cross over the bridge into the rice fields. Give yourself an hour or two to walk around! We typed in Tis Cafe on google maps and parked on the road!
