I went to an adorable café in the mountains of Osaka prefecture and had a very delicious curry rice. My favorite prefecture in Japan is a hidden gem right next door to Osaka! Wakayama is a coastal prefecture, and Wakayama City is only a 1-hr train ride away from Osaka. It’s famous for stunning ocean views, important sacred sites and beautiful hikes (like the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage and Nachi Falls), amazing food and the kindest people.
