Orlando’s Best Hidden Gems: Part 15 🦪 Make sure to follow @beercutieandfoodie for more from this series and some of the best eats in Orlando ! 📍5621 Old Winter Garden Rd. Orlando, FL 32811 Lee and Ricks Oyster bar does not have an Instagram account but this place has been a staple in Orlando since 1950 ! They are definitely one of the diviest places I’d step foot in when I first visited back in 2015 but they’ve been one of my favorite places ever since ! A little history on them, “Lee & Rick’s opened in 1950, as a 9 stool establishment which only served oysters. Lee & Rick ran the restaurant out front, and raised their family in the back portion, which served as their home. Today, the famous concrete shucking bar totals 80 feet in length, seating up to 50 people is a spectacle of delight as oysters are individually shucked for your entertainment, as well as an assurance of their freshness.“ As stated on their website. The oysters here are always fresh and I love that when you sit at the bar you can watch them shuck in front of you for a long time you could only order them raw at the bar but that has since changed. The combo of their cocktail sauce with lemon juice & hot sauce on a ritz cracker, that bite to me is the the most top tier oyster moment I get to repeatedly have here. And as mentioned in the video this is a super divey no frills place so do not come with high expectations of something instagrammable lol it is NOT but it is one of the things I love most about it ! Consistently always good and before you know it you’re 20 oysters in by yourself. Have you been here yet ? Share this with someone that needs to take you out for some oysters ! #fyp #leeandricksoysterbar #orlandoeats #thingstodoinorlando #thingstodoinflorida #oysters #oysterbar #orlando #florida #foryoupage
