We do crepe myrtles a little different in Missouri. They tell us where to trim based on winter dieback… if we dont have to trim them, we try not too. But usually we have a lot of dead to trim out of them after winter, so trim back to the live tissue and then they usually bounce back with like 3-8’ of growth in a single year.
