First up on our list is the one we visit NEARLY every day! 😋 Started over 19 years ago, Cuppa Cuppa Coffee Shack is an essential part of the allied gardens neighborhood! Now with two locations, they are known for their extra friendly team, strong coffee, and quick service! 🚗 Their owners Cynthia and Emma, and team mascot Finley’s goal is to create that warm neighborhood stop that makes you feel like your with friends! 😍 We love stopping by to try their creative coffee drinks like their “Smokey Jo” with crème brûlée syrup and smoked sea salt, or “ The Xplicit Shake” a collab with Xplicit next door that features pea protein, chia, hazelnuts, coconut, and espresso! ☕️ However my absolute go to order has to be the Cold Brew, brewed for 24 hours, with a low dilution. This blend of Peruvian, Java, and Guatemalan beans creates the perfect extra rich and deep flavor that I love! 😋 Pro Tip: Order the cold brew with iced coffee ice cubes (limited supply) it creates the perfect cup of extra strong coffee! 😎 Want to try out Cuppa Cuppa? We frequently head over to their South Park location I figured it was time to share our go-to orders with you all. They have two other locations (Solana Beach & Aliso Viejo) but you might have also seen their coffee truck at our local farmers markets (it’s the one in Little Italy & Hillcrest - Jonathan loves to grab their Peanut Butter Cold Brew that comes in a beer-like bottle lol). Transparently, this is not another trendy, cute-sy coffee spot. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but they are VERY serious about their coffee here, which makes sense since they’re primarily a coffee roaster, but you can truly taste the difference! They use freshly roasted specialty grade USDA organic espresso that is imported from all over the world and have wonderful relationships with their farmers so they can ensure they’re sourcing the best coffee possible (and as fairly as possible!). They also have seasonal menus all the time which is so fun for us ✨. For spring they have a Blackberry Mint Lemonade which is SO good, and a great menu of delicious bites that were actually designed by Marco Maestoso, a Michelin chef from Italy. They focus on a ton of philanthropic ventures such as their Spikes Roast, which donates the profits to Spike’s k9 fund, and donations for Ukraine. Can you see why we love them? 🤍 .
