Montessori materials are not only attractive and inviting to work with, but are self-correcting! This means when a piece does not fit the child is able to see their error and independently problem solve, as this 22 month old did.

This also prevents the need for an adult to say “No, wrong!” which helps to preserve the child's confidence in themselves and their abilities, fosters a sense of accomplishment, and maintains a love of learning.
