Hi. I'm Jenna. I'm a certified holistic herbalist, and I'm here to help you bring herbs in to your every day life.
A very important part of being a home herbalist is recognizing how to  stay in our own lane, when it comes to talking about herbs.  We recognize that as home herbalists, we donât have the experience or focused training of a clinical herbalist, and (in most cases) we're not medical doctors. It's crucial that the words we choose emphasize this distinction whenever we're talking about herbs, especially if we're sharing herbal  information online or in our neighborhoods and communities.Â
In  order to stay out of sticky situations as home herbalists, we need to  be mindful of the words we choose when we talk about herbs. Because most  of us are not medical professionals, it's really important that we  donât use language thatâs reserved for the medical profession. Weâre  holistic home herbalists, and it's better to avoid any words that could  be mistaken for medical language.Â
I  created a list to help you understand the words we want to  avoid as home herbalists, some words we might want to use instead, and  some other ways to express our understanding as herbalists.
