Scientists revealed the precise diets of 200 killer whales across the North Atlantic. All they need was a piece of skin and blubber from the whales, and some prey samples. In this study, scientists used the lipid composition in 200 killer whales and in 900+ potential prey items to measure the diet composition of each individual.
