𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐚 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐭⬇️ You don’t need to stop having fun or having a miserable life when trying to lose weight. I’m in a cut right now and this day I had breakfast out and then this dinner out and I woke up to 0.6 pounds down. When Coach Kausar was 50 lbs overweight we would have ordered this in a cuban restaurant instead: 🚨Rice, beans, plantains and shredded beef plus Guava and cheese empanadas and a Coke: About 750 calories. Now, this is what she ordered: ✅ Fish topped with shrimps with steamed vegetables and water: About 400 calories When I was 25 lbs heavier, I would order: 🚨A vegetarian plate with empanadas with cheese, guava and cheese, Yuca, beans, rice and maduros and one or 2 piña coladas or Mojitos: About 850 calories Now, this is what I order: ✅ Tropical salad with Salmon, a piece of an empanada and 1 plantain and water: About 350-400 calories It is not about cutting or restricting is about educating yourself and learn what is the best option for you and still enjoying life. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝟑.𝟒 𝐩𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤⬇️ If you followed me in my stories for this week you have seen I have been sharing my journey with so we can do it together 😍 I want to start by saying that a healthy weight loss is 0.5-2 pounds a week. Most of the weight I lost this week has been water weight so I’m expecting to plateau for a week or more since I’m in healthy weight and my body will fight me. why? Because the pounds I want to lose are called: Vanity pounds. It is going to be harder but thankfully we have an strategy to follow in BFF zone. I’m not worried at all! Bring harder cause we can do hard things 🤘 This week was successful because: ✅ I meal prepped. I made the same breakfast every day, same dinner (some variations) Pick easy snacks. Everything was yummy, it had some variety but I kept it simple so I could be consistent ✅ I prelogged all my meals to make sure I hit my macros daily ✅ I practice gratitude every day to keep a positive attitude ✅ I ate out only twice this week ✅ My coach and you (my community) hold me accountable This list of things are not the only things I did. For years I worked on my habits so there are more to it. Remember weight loss is the by product of daily and consistent actions. I’m 42 years old, a mom and a entrepreneur. And I didn't realize until i went back to school to understand in order to lose weight i needed to eat in caloric deficit not quitting carbs 😒 🫠. I lost a ton of weight without giving up the foods I enjoyed. Being a foodie like and my background being science 🧬 allowed me to start experimenting different types of yummy foods and make them lower in calories 😍. I have been eating these salads on repeat to lose the weight I gained over summer and Labor Day weekend and they have save me money and time! ⭐𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐬: 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐬: -2 tuna cans (1 tuna can per container) -8 Hard boiled eggs (3 egg whites and 1 whole egg per container) 𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐱𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐄𝐑 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫: - Red onion - Celery - 15 gr. She met her goal in just 4 months, and she’s SO excited. When she joined she was frustrated because she was following all the “Healthy and clean” recipes and still not losing fat. She blamed hormones and her age. She was making almond flour pancakes with coconut oil every morning and adding peanut butter. When joined our program and started tracking her macros she realized she was eating WAY too many calories ONLY at her breakfast. She was avoiding carbs, feeling miserable and gaining weight! When she tracked how many carbs a piece of bread has versus all the amount of carbs she NEEDED to eat during the day, she was shocked!! YOU ARE NOT GAINING WEIGHT BECAUSE OF BREAD, RICE OR CUPCAKES! 𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐜𝐮𝐩𝐜𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐭, 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐧. 𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐚 𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐰𝐢𝐜𝐡, 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞!!! You just need to be in a 𝘮𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘤 𝘥𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘵 to lose body fat and being strategic about your macro breakdown, bonus points if you eat real Whole Foods to nurture your body but you can have a balance and include all your fav foods guilt free. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞 ⬇️ I used to lose 10 pounds in about a month and then I would gain 15 pounds back. As decades were passing by I wonder what was wrong with me? I was eating super “healthy and clean” and I was somehow active. I cut sugar out of my life, I stayed away from carbs as much as I could, I would never eat in a fast food chain. Then I hit me: 𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐚𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐚𝐝, 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐨𝐫 𝐮𝐧𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲, 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐬. When I ate “bad” I felt like a failure, a bad person, not discipline enough, not good enough. Decades of negative self talk took me to dark places. 𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐨𝐫 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 “𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭” 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐈 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐠𝐨 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐮𝐭. 😩 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐈 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐟𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐲𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐲 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬. 𝐈 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝟑𝟓 𝐥𝐛𝐬 𝐛𝐲 𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐲 ⬇️ If you have cravings you need to work on balancing your blood sugar otherwise you will find yourself overeating these snacks and you will gain weight anyway. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐲 𝐬𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬: Combine: ✅Popcorn with nuts ✅Chips with guacamole ✅Crackers with yogurt or cheese ✅Chickpeas puff with cheese ✅ Any of these with a protein shake Also making a snack platter is super fun and satisfying.
