❌HOW TO FAIL FAST🔻

If I wanted to fail my online store fast, I would:

🔻 Only use one marketing channel
🔻 Not use email marketing
🔻 Do random things without any thought or strategy

🤔 But Lina, why would it fail?

Because…

❌ One channel = incredibly risky. 

That channel might disappear or you might get hacked or blocked out for no reason, this happens all the time! Plus, your competitor who is using multiple channel will be way more visible and get more market share than you because your customer will see them everywhere.

❌ No email = so much revenue left on the table. 

Email is the ONE thing you DO own, compared to other marketing channels that are not in your control. If your Insta gets blocked or hacked, at least you can reach out to your customer via email. It’s also the highest converting channel for many stores as you can make it personal and drive repeat purchases over and over again.

❌ No strategy = you’re likely to see low to no results and to burn out in the process.

A strategy lets you focus on what is working and to do it across all your channels which saves time and energy. This is the FIRST thing you should be doing. Think about how each post and ad you put out fits into your store’s strategy and always check your stats so you know if you are on the right way. But give it time, at least 3 months!

…IF YOU DON’T TRY ADVERTISING FOR YOUR ONLINE STORE…

Well - nothing really. 🙃

You stay where you are. Your revenue keeps sitting on a plateau with random dips and peaks depending on the season and you can’t expand as fast as you would like.

Even if you think you’ve “tried” before and it didn’t do anything, advertising platforms and your customer is forever changing and moving and what worked last year doesn’t necessarily work anymore.

💕That’s why I love advertising, it never gets boring.

There’s always something new to test and try and that is something that the best marketers do actively - come with new ideas to battle a dip or a bad performing ad.

Us marketers love playing with the algorithm, not fighting with it.

✅ So when do you know if your store is a good fit for advertising?

✔ You have healthy profit margins and keep track of your finances
✔ You are already making profits via organic channels
✔ You have repeat buyers
✔ You have positive customer reviews
✔ Your store is fast or can be improved, and your conversion rate is higher than 1%
✔ You post consistently on social media and/or have an active newsletter that sells
✔ You are not afraid to try different approaches in your ads
✔ You have a realistic budget to start off with testing different ads of at MINIMUM €600+ per month per channel
✔ You are willing to give it a few months and can scale up the budget as we grow the revenue
✔ You are willing to improve your online store to sell more
