#Barley is both an emollient (which traps moisture from leaving) and a humectant (which attracts water). Thanks to the saponins, barley has cleansing properties by gently absorbing and removing dirt and excess sebum, without stripping your skin’s natural oils. #Leben (a liquid or semisolid food made from curdled milk by the peoples of the Levant and North Africa) contains lactic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid, that dissolves dead skin cells.
