Gawai Dayak is a festival celebrated by the Dayak community in Sarawak. This festival is held annually from June 1–2, and it marks the end of the paddy harvesting season and the beginning of a new planting season.

Gawai Dayak is a time for family reunion, and it provides an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the richness of their culture. The Dayak community will prepare delicious foods such as ayam pansuh (chicken in bamboo) and tuak (a traditional rice wine), which are shared with family and friends.
