It’s meet day. Here’s what I need in my gym bag
💧Post weigh-in hydration pack or any electrolytes is always top priority. Gotta get hydrated after cutting water.
🥩Protein! I always have a protein stick, protein bar, and protein shake with carbs to snack on throughout the meet. My go-to post weight-in meal is rice, chicken, and avocado because I know it sits well in my stomach. There is nothing worse than feeing bloated and trying to lift 😑. (All my supplements are linked in my bio)
🔫If you haven’t done a weightlifting meet, you have an hour to weigh in, and then an additional hour to wait around for the meet to start. I have my @wellbodygroup massage gun to help get me ready while I am waiting around. I love that it easily fits in my bag, with the added bonus of the heated tip (Linked in my Amazon store)
👊🏻Do I have enough bands? I like the big one for things like good mornings, the hip circle to warm up my glutes, and the small bands to get my shoulders ⚡️I always feel drained after snatches, so I like to have a little pre-workout (non-stim I can’t handle the caffeine) and I LOVE nerds gummies for a little boost of sugar. A: yes, the app gives you access to a chat where you can ask me questions, or send videos for review.
Q: What are the prerequisites to be able to complete the drills?
A: It is recommended that you be able to compete a minimum of 1 strict pull up, 1 strict dip, 5-10 kipping pull ups, 3-5 chest to bar pull-ups, and 5-10 toes to bar before trying this program.
