Ahoy, friends! This last weekend, we embarked on a thrilling adventure to strip off the layers of paint from our beloved helm house. Our initial plan was to sandblast it using a pressure washer attachment. But alas, it didn't quite live up to our speedy expectations, as the sand seemed to vanish faster than the paint itself! So, it was time to hoist the anchor and return to the drawing board. ⚓️ After much pondering, we reached the realization that there's no easy or quick solution to this task. And thus, we set sail on a new course, opting for the trusty method of grinding off the paint. But fear not, for fortune smiled upon us! We discovered these marvelous quick strip pads, which proved to be far superior to the sandblasting approach. 🙌 Like a true sailor's tale, these pads effortlessly whisked away the paint, leaving our helm house bare and exposed to the elements for the first time in a whopping 40 years! Can you believe it? 🌊 But ahoy, shipmates! Our mission doesn't end there. We are determined to restore her former glory, to make her shine like a brand new lady once again! We are prepared to unleash our mighty elbow grease and dedicate ourselves to this noble cause. Located to the left of the boat ramp launch area, it will provide easy access and enhance the overall efficiency of our operations.
