FIVE MONTHS. The supply closet, baseboards and crown mounding still need to be finished, but OH MY STARS. I’m in awe. This has been my biggest project to date, I had to really push myself and learn A LOT of new skills like moving walls, duct work, and electrical. And yet, here we are, nearing the finish line.
I am SO glad I didn’t wait for “someday” because I have a WALK IN PANTRY NOW!!!! And I BUILT IT. 🤯🤯🤯

It makes my heart happy to incorporate history into all my designs. This one just happens to be a 100 year old load barring stud that I had to remove to make the doorway for the pantry. I knew there was a reason I couldn’t bring myself to toss it! Now that old stud gets to spend the rest of its days uncovered and front & center in our home. I ADORE the charm it brings. 😍

The cabinets are done! I DID THAT! 🤯 The feeling of creating something from nothing will NEVER get old! It’s been a long labor of love planning and designing each individual cabinet, and we’re not close to done yet. But WOW. It’s been so worth it. Not to mention the $SAVINGS$ by building it myself.
