We had another graffiti workshop to host in sunny Amersham and realised we only had a short time to create any prizes for the winning team at the day's team building event. After a quick head scratching session we came up with the idea of the space cowboy - mainly due to the fact that the theme for the day was 'space'. Cue some feverish production line spraying and it's job done.

Bing Bang Brom
Once again we were asked to head back to Bromley High Street to inject a little colour for their imaginatively named High Street Fest with its aim to bring a bit more interest to the high street with street art, food stalls, a gaming bus and a main stage amongst other things. We went with a Pop Art style explosion of love for Bromley with the legend ‘Bing Bang Brom’ emblazoned over the top.
Somehow we had top billing on the day’s flyer - but just as ‘street art’. Perhaps that’s why we were lucky enough to have a gazebo covering our boards - which was well needed as the heavens periodically opened.
We thought as street artists we would have been pretty cool with the kids but were wrong. It turns out that firefighters with their fancy red fire engine, complete with flashing blue lights, are the de facto champions of today’s youth. Hopefully the weather will be better next time…

It is, of course, ‘And a cherry on top’. For the uninitiated ‘And a cherry on top’ is the flourish that tops something off - much like a cherry tops off an ice cream sundae. And don’t these cherries just know it. Look at their grinning little faces. Although in this case it’s actually a bowl of yoghurt. It’s not really ice cream weather currently.
Despite the fact it’s not ice cream weather it’s good to keep your eye in over the cold winter months all the same. Nicer days aren’t too far away now…

The Weed
Here’s Daryll. He’s a happy go lucky guy, who’s always looking for the best in people. He knows there are subjectively prettier flowers out there in the big wide world but in his little patch of South London, he’s a pretty big deal.
Sarah (age 9) lives in the house at the top of his garden and Sarah’s dad doesn’t mow the lawn very often so Daryll and his buddies have free reign of the place. Sarah whispered to Daryll that when he’s grown to full size she’s going to use him in a beautiful daisy chain and do you know what, he’s more than happy with that…
It has to be said painting outdoors in January certainly keeps you fresh. I don't think it crept above 2 degrees and I'm off to do it again today. Oh and cans are cold in this weather. Very cold indeed…wish me luck!

Emergency riot brick
If you find yourself in a certain set of conditions then the emergency riot brick really is a must. Pretty does what it says on the tin. A big plus side is that it's reusable and when you're not actively using it it doubles as a handy door stopper. We'll be taking pre-orders from tomorrow.

Despite an inauspicious start involving a lack of accommodation and a tendon severing washing up accident which effectively left the team a man down we still somehow managed to get the job done.
