Well, that was a near moose....👀
One of our teams in Alaska got to immediately use what they learned in Orientation this week when they went on this hike!
Momma moose felt like we got a little too close to her calf and said "back off!"
We have never had this close of an encounter with the wildlife in Alaska, but knowing its a possibility we take care to cover this and other safety tips with every team. Best thing to do at a time like this is run. So this team did exactly what they were supposed to. Moose-ing around is not an option when it comes to safety!

"I've become the kind of woman that I've always admired"
Adult Teen Challenge in Wasilla, AK just celebrated their first graduation from their women's rehabilitation/recovery program.
Thirst Missions teams visited with Keishai and the other ladies in the program last summer and we were so excited to learn about her graduation, hear her testimony, and celebrate this momentous milestone with her.
Keishai will be returning as an intern now that she's graduated.
