Title: Stainspotting: A Rorschach Worship Workshop

Brief description of the piece: This poetic micro-essay about the ontological implications of pareidolia, accompanies a series of videographic illustrations in which numerous distinct personalities rise to the forefront of a single, abstract surface.Utilizing the trash stratum of a sidewalk stain to illustrate how the divined designs of hallucinatory forms naturally arise from the algorithm of randomness, “Stainspotting” transports the viewer to the dawning awareness of the externalized interior, revealing the seeming obstacle of the material world to be a springboard into the MetaReal world.

Description of what this piece is about: It is about the subtle assumptions inherent in the interface of our consciousness, the sleight-of-hand between interior and exterior, subjective and objective, the hallucinatory appeal of pareidolic phenomena, and their ability to clearly illustrate our complicity in the construction of what we perceive as reality.
