With Storm Ciaran fast approaching, do you know what to do to protect your caravan or motorhome in a bad weather? ✅️ pitch so that you are slightly uneven to allow rain water to run off the roof ✅️ keep roof vents closed. Only open small side windows onto the vent setting ✅️ if possible, park into the wind to reduce buffeting ✅️ if pitched on grass, place anti-slip mats under the wheels to give you traction when you move off ✅️ retract canopies and ensures awnings are strapped down using proper storm straps ❌️ do not travel unless unavoidable. If you must travel, use A-roads as they are more sheltered than motorways, keep your speed down and DO NOT enter any flood water.
