As summer 2023 continues to break heat records across the globe and extreme weather patterns become our new normal, rapid response is needed to adapt to the current and pending climate crisis. However, the lack of available information and tools, particularly for urban areas, complicates our ability to create solutions. The New School’s Urban Systems Lab is combating the information gap by launching Ocellus XR, an interactive mixed-reality mobile app that provides users in New York City with heat, flood risk, and other climate indicators.
Learn more about the app with our link in bio and download the app on the Apple app store.
