The moral of the story is that Swiss Rainbow Chard (in season now) is awfully good for you and your dog. Chard contains vitamin K. Vitamin K2 is particularly important when you take any type of vitamin D supplement (D2 or D3). Vitamin K2 needs to be taken at the same time as vitamin D. Good Morning. This is what 11% veg looks like in a fresh dog food recipe. 11% is the sweet spot on a daily basis for my dogs. However it can be less or more throughout the week depending on what other foods are being offered and if this will help to create balance or not. When I formulate commercially for pet food brands I consistently hit 11% throughout the whole range as a rule.
