That’s why yesterday, a bunch of us New Yorkers visited the House Judiciary Committee as they held a hearing for victims of violent crime in Manhattan. The bouncers (federal cops) kept most of us outside in the hallway. So much for it being public. Many congresspeople walked by as we shouted either cheers or jeers.
