I have a Halloween Mug Rug for almost every day of the week now and I love it! They’re such an easy, quick way to decorate without much effort. Plus, they’re really freaking cute! You’ll almost always find one just off screen when I’m filming tutorials or reels or taking photos.

These two crochet ghosts were made with the same yarn line/brand, same hook size and the same crochet pattern. Yet, there is a big size difference. Why? My tension changed.
You may not even notice that your tension changes from one toy to the next but in this case, the result is unmistakable.
How to Minimize Tension Changes Between Toys:
- Do a small gauge swatch before you start each toy (mine are built-in to be part of the toy pattern so you can just keep crocheting). You don't even have to match the pattern gauge, just make sure all YOUR pieces measure the same each time.

The South Hampton shawl is a beginner-friendly granny stitch triangle shawl pattern. This easy crochet pattern is made with basic crochet stitches and is the perfect project for on-the-go or chilling out and binging your favourite show.
I designed this triangle shawl pattern to remove all that extra fabric in the middle of the shawl that makes you feel claustrophobic or uncomfortable. This way, the shawl lays flatter across the chest while being cooler and more comfortable to wear in warmer weather.
