Fourteen people have allegedly died in a fatal crisis between communities in Obi and Otukpo Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Benue State.

The crisis resulted from an electric isolation point in one of the communities in the two LGAs after the Jos Electricity Distribution (JED) Plc failed to restore power.

The ICIR investigates how the lack of electricity led to a fatal crisis, escalated and claimed several lives and property worth millions.
