It’s almost that time!🦃🍁

Navigating the holidays while following a specific dietary lifestyle OR simply beating the bloat can be difficult to navigate.

Our Top 4 Tips to a Guilt Free Thanksgiving ⬇️

1️⃣ Start your day off right! Begin your Thanksgiving morning with a glass of hot water with lemon or some great electrolytes. Staying hydrated throughout the day is crucial, especially during the holidays when indulgence is common.

2️⃣ Don’t skip your supplements- add in some probiotics and extra digestive enzymes to set yourself up for success.

3️⃣ Focus on progress, not perfection! It’s okay to indulge and enjoy the holiday treats, but it’s important to make informed choices. If you know you’re reactive to certain foods, be mindful and choose wisely to help minimize post-indulgence discomfort.

4️⃣ Create non-food related traditions: While the meal is a significant part of Thanksgiving, it’s equally important to create traditions that go beyond the food. Engage in activities like going on a nature walk, playing football, or sharing the things you’re grateful for as a family. These traditions foster connection & allow you to spend quality time together, making the day even more meaningful!

Remember, it’s about finding a balance that works for YOU and being kind to yourself during the holidays.

In our second chat with @strengthwithsavanna, we dove into the importance of realistic expectations, managing responsibilities, + finding the right balance.

We all know how hard this can be, but that doesn’t mean you you should wait to try. You can start the following RIGHT NOW:
🙏🏼Practice Self-Compassion: Be kind to yourself & recognize that weight fluctuations are a natural part of life.
🏆Set Realistic Goals: Rather than aiming for quick fixes, focus on making gradual, sustainable changes to your lifestyle. If something just doesn’t seem right, get in touch with a professional!
🧘🏼‍♀️Engage in Self-Care: This includes sleep, eating a balanced diet, engaging in regular physical activity that you enjoy, and managing stress through relaxation techniques like meditation or deep breathing exercises.

And those workouts?!

Set realistic expectations. What does that look like for YOU?
Maybe it’s:
🏠 Home Workouts: You can find tons of workout videos and apps designed for various fitness levels and time constraints. Even short, intense sessions can make a difference.
🌅Morning Routine: Wake up a little earlier to squeeze in some exercise before the household gets busy. It could be a quick yoga session, a brisk walk, or a set of bodyweight exercises. It sets a positive tone for the day.
🧒🏽Incorporate Your Kids: Get creative with your fitness routine. Play active games with your kiddos. You can involve them in your workout by doing exercises together. They’ll have fun, and you’ll get some exercise in.
💪🏼Lunch Break Workouts: If you work outside the home, use your lunch break to fit in a workout. It could be a walk around the office building, a short HIIT session, or a visit to a nearby gym.
🚴🏾‍♀️Weekend Family Activities: On weekends, plan family activities that involve physical activity. Hiking, biking, swimming, or even a day at the park can be a great way to bond with your kids while staying active.

Remember that consistency is key, and it’s okay to start small. Prioritizing your health is not only beneficial for you but sets a positive example for your kiddos.
