Last Thursday on March 9, the organization known as GEO (Graduate Employees’ Organization) held a protest in front of the Swanlund Administration Building, marching to the Illini Union afterwards. The purpose for this protest, as GEO officer Karla Sanabria-Veaz as speaks about, is an expired contract which guarantees graduate workers with a liveable wage and benefits. More information can be found on the GEO’s website at http://www.uiucgeo.org.
