It’s actually a diskette the floppy was before that, it was 5 1/4 inch drive

It’s a diskette, but floppy is acceptable slang. Floppy drive is the thing it goes into.

Floppys are not ancient 🥺 in mexico we used them till the 2007… at least in my school. It does make noise but that off noise means it is corrupted.

The first dedicated word processors used 8" floppy disks. you have 1.44Mg Hard Disk.

the disc is damaged or expired. and yes it makes noise when you put it in, but that one is some kinda damaged sound.
