Colour Changing Wild Violet Lemonade
Ingredients
⋗ 1-2 cups - harvested & washed wild violets
⋗ 1-2 cups - boiled water
⋗ 2 lemons
⋗ filtered water
⋗ sweetener of choice
⋗⋗add violets to a mason jar. Pour equal parts boiled water over the violets, cover and let steep for 24hrs in a dark spot (like a cupboard). Once brewed, and a deep shade of violet/blue, fill a small glass half way with tea.
⋗⋗ optionally, you can top your tea wild an edible flower such as violet lavender or pansy.
⋗⋗ FOR THE LEMONADE combine to taste, fresh squeezed lemons, water and sweetener of choice. Serve in seperate vessel so your guests can be a part of the magic.
Combine by pouring the lemonade into the tea.
The wild violet tea acts as a PH indicator and turns from blue to pink when the acidity is increased.
