How to track vocal layer using my vocal templateโฆ
As a vocal engineer, my goal is crystal clear: a blend of speed and quality that lets artist creative without interruptions. I've fine-tuned my process to ensure the end result is a near-mixed-and-mastered record, right out of the session.
My template is an incredible starting point for a record and because of it my sessions often wrap up in 2-4 hours with vocals recorded, arranged, comped, and mixed.
NOTE: I say 5 tracks for doubles when itโs typically best to keep the number even; recently I have found itโs nice to have a fifth layer that artists can easily layer on the fly. Plus, I often add a chorus/doubler for a lush soundscape!
