Illogical consequences are tough for our little ones to comprehend, mainly because they make no sense. During those challenging moments try and be patient, try to focus on natural consequences if you can, and if you’re in a rush and your little one just isn’t cooperating, set the boundary but hold space for your little one to be unhappy about it. Our children don’t have to agree or be happy with everything we say, and we don’t always have to be the good guy. By allowing that space for their emotions, they’re able to learn that we will always be their safe space ❤️
