❤️Reframing makes all the difference. So does changing your focus. If you only look at what you hate about your body, that’s all you see.
But if you can identify what you actually LIKE about your appearance, and focus on that, it changes everything. It may take some time, but it will happen.

Are you bingeing to be “comfortably numb” and turn off your feelings and thoughts (temporarily). There is another way of coping instead of using food. Cope by identifying, expressing, and responding to your feelings with kindness and compassion.
By the way, I’m a psychoanalyst but I’m NOT Freudian. I like to say that comparing a Freudian analyst from 100 years ago with a contemporary analyst is like comparing a Model T Ford to a Tesla. They are both cars but there’s a lot of difference!
