I couldn't make out much of the details so I improvised and even looked up all forms of Scandinavian runes. I learned a lot doing this study including parts of my own heritage.

A birthday gift for my sister. I started it last month but took a 2 week break because ive never done so much detail before. A lot of adjusting and redoing things. Layers upon layers. The background took the most time at 29 hours and 22 minutes. The character took 14 hours and 49 minutes but i really struggled with him. Each pose i tried ended up looking really off with the background. So i just decided to go with an in the front pose, walking off screen and blurring the background a bit to give focus to him.
This was a beast of an illustration. I can still see little mistakes and improvements i can make in the future, but regardless, wow. Im really surprised that came out of my brain.

It's finished. another piece that was a bit hard to study. especially that sword. I don't like how that came out, but I literally whipped it up in like 10 minutes... gotta get the kids to school...
Anyway, Kyrie the Ice Oni. @Nyctoinc Illustrations character. Show Nyctoinc some love and check out their work. Got some really awesome stuff. But TW!! They do some MA stuff. So...if you're a squish, probably best to steer clear.
If Nyctoinc is okay with it, I'd eventually like to draw this character with one of my OCs.

Sorry it took so long! I'm pretty sure I had just too much going on between, mom stuff, bus driver, personal requests on some pieces, holidays, Drs visits & several art challenges.

I purposely colored the way I did so y'all could see the difference in the brushes. opacities and such.
