Did you know… 🤔 not all candles are made the same? Most big box store candles are made out of toxic ingredients such as toluene, benzene, parabens, phthalates etc ⛔️ and are NOT safe for you or your furry friend. 🐕
What to avoid : ❌❌❌
- candles made out of paraffin wax (petroleum bi-product)
- candles that don’t have ingredients listed on the packaging
- candles that have been mass produced
- generic candle fragrances (often containing parabens + phthalates)
- avoid “blends” as often times paraffin wax or additives are added
What to get ✅✅✅
- candles derived from natural waxes such as soy, beeswax, coconut, apricot etc and also that contain no additives
- paraben/ phthalate free fragrances
- candles made with 💯 cotton wicks
- candles where the ingredients are listed on the packaging
Also, please note that your pet is much more sensitive to scent than you are, so be sure to choose a gentle, nontoxic fragrance. 🐕☺️🐶
