I loved touring Brucemore Mansion in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and hearing about the 3 families (and 3 lions!) that used to walk the halls of this emaculate home turned historic site. Each room has its own story to tellβ¦ if only the walls could talk themselves βΊοΈ
If you get a chance, go check it out! The grounds are free and open to the public when the gates are open or you can go on a guide tour to hear the details of each room. My favorite area is definitely the gardens, even if it was rainy when I toured βοΈ

When the cat you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure π±π
Frankieβs health declined rapidly in the last 48 hours of her life and her passing was unexpected and definitely not prepared for.
She was the first animal to make me a fur-mama and the pain is indescribable, but I know it was her time to go. I can only think that sheβs up there basking in the sun, and chattering at birds, eating alllll the tuna she can imagine. This loss is very hard on me, but sheβs no longer in pain and thatβs all that matters.
