I kept my business idea close to my chest for many, many years. When the pandemic hit, I thought, oh no… I’ll NEVER be able to start my business now! 😩 People around me were losing their jobs because of COVID. Nothing was guaranteed anymore. Then I watched one of my closest friends go through a seriously life-altering event that would normally stop someone in their tracks, but instead she soldiered on. She quit her job and jumped headfirst into starting her business, and never looked back. I was so inspired. I thought, what the hell am I waiting for? I’m doing this and I’m doing it right now. So I did. I’ve learned a lot since then; I’m still learning. Some days can be tough, filled with so much self-doubt and fear, but they’re always followed by moments of gratitude and perseverance. I love this little shop on Mill Street. I love all the new people and pets I get to meet and help. This isn’t anything twenty-one-year old me thought it would be.
