This turtle has been rescued by our earth doctors in Sierra Leone, the Propel organization does a lot of clean-ups but also does care about protecting these animals. This turtle can now enjoy the beach plastic free with the protection of National tourism and the Propel organization. Thanks to this amazing organization that is not just in doing clean-ups but also in saving the animals and the planet earth. Let's heal the world together! (sustain credits reward the protection of endangered animals. )"(This marine turtle (green sea turtle) was caught yesterday (07/08) by another group of Fisherman. We then took it from them not without a big fight. Unfortunately the people are still eating our Sea Turtles and it is a daily fight to protect our sea turtles. Once we took the turtle from them we released it immediately. We waited around to make sure that it doesn't get captured again by the other Fisherman.The great news is they are coming back to nest. Now to just keep unwanted people away from the nest)Propel Organization, National Tourism board and RAP-SL are working together . The mystery of witnessing an sea turtle laying eggs was a life changing experience. Some fun facts.... The life of a sea turtle starts when a female lays its eggs on a nesting beach, usually in the tropics. From six weeks to two months later (depending on the species), a tiny hatchling makes its way to the surface of the sand and heads to the water, dodging every predator imaginable.
