Mayor Sheng Thao had harsh words to share on the state of the #Oakland Police Commission today on KRON 4. Both sides have accused the other of holding up search for a new police chief.
Mayor Thao says if the commissioners fail to forward their top three candidates for the job by the end of year, she will “have to take over and find a chief for the city of Oakland.”
She added she is optimistic that two new commissioners coming in October will turn things around.
