Just over one year ago, I did this photoshoot with my friend Kelsie to capture my HUGE twin pregnant belly. Little did I know... 3 days later, my water would break and I would go into early labor. And meet my babies 4 hours after that 😭❤️ It made me so grateful I chose to get in front of the camera this week because it literally was my LAST opportunity to get photos of myself pregnant. Watching these video clips (that I’ve never posted before) had me reminiscing about this season of life 🥲 so magical yet challenging and exciting in so many ways. So many big changes about to happen. And way sooner than I was expecting. 🤣 It makes me SO GRATEFUL I made getting in front of the camera a priority, something I still do to this day. The days pass by so fast and I want to be sure to capture each season well. 💛 Here’s your challenge to GET THOSE PHOTOS!!! RECIPE ↓ 🎂 Healthy Baby Cake Smash Recipe (fills two 8 inch cake pans) 4 mashed ripe bananas 4 large eggs 1 cup peanut butter 1 tablespoon vanilla 1 1/4 cup flour 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon baking soda INSTRUCTIONS: Add wet ingredients (bananas, peanut butter, eggs, vanilla) into a bowl. Whisk together (I used a hand mixer on low). Add in dry ingredients (flour, cinnamon, baking soda) and mix. Pour evenly between the two pans. Bake in the oven at 350* for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. 🤍 Healthy Whipped Cream (icing) Recipe 3 cups whipping cream 6 tablespoons maple syrup 1 tablespoon vanilla INSTRUCTIONS: Add all ingredients into a bowl. Whisk on high with a hand mixer until stiff. Both recipes were originally taken from Ambitious Kitchen and then I made my own modifications & tweaks!! 🌸🌼 Flowers are in my LTK (link in bio). 🎂 Healthy Baby Cake Smash Recipe (fills two 8 inch cake pans)

We made it to our goal: One year of exclusively breastfeeding (besides solids starting at 6 months). Through doctors telling me to not even try because it wouldn’t be possible, through cluster feeding and the many night wakes (that still continue, which is totally normal 💛), through the intense hunger that I still have even today, through nursing strikes and biting 😵‍💫… I am so proud we made it. And honestly, being able to exclusively nurse has been a HUGE blessing in the midst of the crazy with twins. Fighting for that in the beginning was absolutely the hardest thing I have done, but I’m so glad I did because it made a huge part of taking care of the babies very easy for us. I am so thankful for the support I received that made a world of difference and gave me confidence + determination to keep going. It’s one of the things I am most proud of because DANG it’s hard.
