Back from a wonderful few days in North Wales. A beautiful country we have never really thought to visit before.
This was a rare occasion where we went “offline” - truly offline… so no phones, no internet, no television, no online business.
It must be the first time in our lives where we removed all modern distractions.
We actually did “nothing”.
It has been restorative and enlightening and though our lives don’t facilitate that lifestyle all the time, we’re keen to bring back some of those routines into our “normal life.”

Remembering Stanley Biggs on the 79th Anniversary of the Battle of Arnhem.
We recently attended the @wehaveways_fest where @poorbloodyinfantry displayed equipment of 181 field ambulance RAMC.
This was the unit Stanley Biggs served.
It really brought home the momentous task the Medical units faced during the chaos of the battle.
The airborne surgical table (there are only three known to exist) was particularly pertinent as Stanley was a Medical Orderly in the Surgical Team.
