You can't pour from an empty cup.

Today I got to hike at the not open to the public Saddle Mountain Open Space Preserve thanks to their volunteer patrol program. This is on the hike down because the photos from the summit don't do it justice.

During our orientation we learned about how fire, in the form of controlled burns, is used as a tool in the care & preservation of our open spaces. Very interesting and I'm excited to learn more.
