Look what I found while foraging in my backyard woodlands! The beautiful Cutleaf Toothwort (Cardamine concatenata) in blossom! Sigh…I have a small patch, so I left it alone to continue to grow and let the spring pollinators enjoy! Although, I think one day I’m going to try the root like the Iroquois. Cutleaf is part of the mustard family, so I’m expecting a little kick to its taste. Especially, since one of its common names is Pepper Root.
