4 years ago today I did my first ever comedy set at Absolute Comedy in Ottawa.

Little did I know of the adventure that was in store for me. Along the way there have been some euphoric, intoxicating highs and some soul-crushing, brutal lows.

I wouldn’t change a thing.

Despite loving comedy my whole life and wanting to do this since the age of 15, I sincerely thought I was merely crossing an item off my bucket list.

For the longest time I didn’t believe I could do it. I was too afraid to even try. I pushed the urge away for decades.

Stand up saved me. It gave me purpose. It gave me passion. It brought me back to life.
